Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota, during the 10th Annual General Meeting of the Federation of All India Tea Traders Association (FAITTA), called for concerted efforts to revitalize the tea industry with a focus on promoting quality over quantity.

He urged stakeholders to prioritize safe and quality tea while addressing the issue of low-priced tea products that impact the economic well-being of small tea growers and workers.

Kota also highlighted government initiatives to ensure the integrity and sustainability of the tea industry, advocating for high-quality tea production and transparent selling processes through platforms like the Guwahati Auction Centre.
