Bollywood actress Kadambari Jethwani on Friday lodged a complaint with NTR Police Commissioner SV Rajasekhar Babu against political leader and film producer KVR Vidyasagar. Jethwani accused Vidyasagar of filing false cases against her and her parents. She alleged that certain police officers conspired with Vidyasagar to harass her family and sought action against them.

Addressing the media, Jethwani stated, "Any honest citizen of the country would never want their name embroiled in controversies. I was dragged into this unlawfully and without my consent. People may do as they please, but I have faith in God and in the good people of this country who uphold integrity and will not see the innocent suffer." Jethwani's lawyer, N Srinivas Rao, also addressed the media, stating, "She belongs to a respectable family. Her father is 83 years old and a retired Army officer, and her mother, a retired Assistant Manager from the RBI. Without respecting senior citizens, the Andhra Pradesh Police acted brutally against them, keeping them in custody for five days. Senior officials pressured her to compromise on the case in Mumbai. She doesn't know the identities of those involved, but believes there is political influence."

Jethwani claimed Vidyasagar filed a false forgery and extortion case against her family with the Ibrahimpatnam police in February. Acting on Vidyasagar's orders, police allegedly arrested her and her parents in Mumbai without notice and brought them to Vijayawada, where they were held for 40 days.

The actress accused top-level police officers of being involved in their unlawful detention and mistreatment. According to her, three IPS officers and two senior police officers in civilian clothes participated in the operation. Late Friday night, police recorded the statements of Jethwani and her parents.
