The Paramount Network has unveiled the first teaser for the much-anticipated second half of Yellowstone Season 5. The short promo offers fans a glimpse of the impending drama, hinting at a civil war brewing within the Dutton family.

The teaser features narration from previous episodes by Kevin Costner, who played the iconic role of John Dutton. However, it has been confirmed that Costner will not be reprising his role in the forthcoming episodes. Fresh footage shows a tense confrontation between Jaime Dutton, portrayed by Wes Bentley, and Beth Dutton, played by Kelly Reilly, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In a gripping exchange, Jaime warns Beth, "You destroy me, you destroy yourself," to which Beth retorts, "Unlike you, I keep my promises." The teaser arrives amid reports that Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, who portrays Rip Wheeler, are in discussions to extend the series beyond its fifth season, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

In addition to the current Yellowstone drama, a new sequel titled The Madison is in development. The sequel will star Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Fox and is described as "a heartfelt study of grief and human connection." The storyline will follow a family from New York City relocating to the Madison River Valley in central Montana.

Kevin Costner, a pivotal figure in Yellowstone, previously confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he would not return. "I was really happy to do it. And I don't need drama. So, let's just take that drama away, let's take the guessing [away]. The fans have been way too good to me. And my obligation is to go on and continue to make things that mean something to them," said Costner. He further added that it was "a necessary decision" to move on and not discuss it further.

Yellowstone is set to premiere on November 10 this year. (ANI)
