Actor Varun Dhawan graced the trailer launch event of his niece Anjini Dhawan's debut film 'Binny and Family' on Friday. The event saw the presence of the film's star cast, including Rajesh Kumar and Pankaj Kapur, as well as producers Ektaa R Kapoor and Subhash Gai.

Producer Ektaa R Kapoor expressed her joy in presenting a story that emphasizes the significant role of grandparents within families. She remarked, "I just want to say this much. It's a beautiful film. When I was shown the film, I was very, very happy and I told him I'd love to present the film because grandparents are that part of a family that cinema has not given enough importance to..."

Highlighting the often-overlooked relationship between grandparents and grandchildren, Kapoor added, "As people get older we start thinking they're irrelevant and we start forgetting them. Now when I see my father with my son, I realize how invaluable their bond is. This relationship is truly unique and has been rarely depicted in films. So I'm so proud."

Following the event, Varun Dhawan took to Instagram Stories to welcome his niece to the film industry, sharing the trailer and writing, "@anjinidhawan this is so good, welcome to the Movies," accompanied by a hug emoji. The trailer, lasting 2 minutes and 39 seconds, offers a glimpse into Binny's life and her evolving relationship with her grandparents, promising an entertaining narrative.

Written and directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy, 'Binny and Family' is scheduled for a September 20 release.
