Tragic Death in Goa: Boy Killed by Unleashed Pit Bull
A seven-year-old boy, Prabhas Kalangutkar, was fatally attacked by an unleashed pit bull in Anjuna, North Goa. The dog’s owner, Abdul Kader Khwaja, faces charges of negligence. A seven-year-old boy from North Goa's Anjuna village has died following an attack by an unleashed pit bull, an official has confirmed.
Inspector Suraj Gawas of Anjuna police station stated that an FIR has been lodged against the dog's owner, Abdul Kader Khwaja, for negligence.
The victim, Prabhas Kalangutkar, was walking with his mother, who works as a house help, when the unleashed pit bull attacked. Rushed to Goa Medical College and Hospital, the child succumbed to his injuries. Animal Husbandry Minister Nilkant Halarnkar indicated the intention to discuss with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to renew efforts for banning specific aggressive dog breeds and establishing strict guidelines for their management.
