The XDS Cup 15th Tour of Hainan International Road Cycling Race kicked off in Qionghai, Hainan Province, on August 27, 2024. Starting gun was fired by Her Excellency Paulette Bethel, Bahamian Ambassador to China. The five-day event features elite cyclists navigating an 810.5 km course across Hainan's scenic landscapes.

This year, the Tour features 21 top-tier cycling teams, including one world-class team, five professional groups, and 15 continental teams. Cyclists traverse challenging terrains, striving for victory in a tightly-fought competition that has become a highlight of the international cycling calendar.

Ambassador Paulette Bethel's presence brought a diplomatic dimension to the event. Her visit included cultural activities like traditional coconut carving at the Coconut Museum, where she remarked on the hospitality extended to her. The ambassador also took part in the race, cycling alongside amateurs, further elevating the Tour's prestige.
