Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy may ban the release of Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film 'Emergency.' The decision is pending legal consultation, as per government adviser Mohammad Ali Shabbir.
The Telangana Sikh Society, represented by an 18-member delegation led by former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Tejdeep Kaur Menon, met Shabbir to voice concerns about the film's portrayal of the Sikh community.
The delegation alleged that 'Emergency' depicts Sikhs as terrorists and anti-nationals, a characterization they find offensive and damaging to their image. Shabbir has already requested the chief minister to consider the ban, which will be decided after seeking legal advice.
