Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known for his engaging podcast series, has candidly explored the landscape of influencer careers. Speaking with ANI, Allahbadia emphasized the swift rise in money and fame young influencers experience, balanced by the short-lived nature of their careers. 'We've already seen three to four generations of content creators, with an average career lasting just three to four years,' he notes. This, he believes, hinders many from approaching YouTube as a long-term professional platform.
Allahbadia observed a notable shift towards Instagram among content creators, drawn by the platform's easier engagement and lucrative opportunities. 'Creating long-form videos on YouTube is an art form, a craft that has sustained many,' he said, underscoring the depth and longevity that YouTube offers. He also highlighted the broader societal impact influencers can achieve, leveraging their platforms to voice opinions and influence change. 'Though the lure of quick money and fame is strong, genuine impact should be the ultimate goal.'
Discussing the podcasting niche in India, Allahbadia sees potential for up to 20 podcasters to thrive. He places a premium on adaptability, team building, and maintaining a grounded perspective amidst the glamour. 'Reinvention and a long-term vision are crucial,' he advises. Allahbadia's own podcast, The Ranveer Show, features a diverse lineup of successful personalities and covers various topics including money, health, and spirituality, aiming to inspire and educate its audience.
