Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the new Arunachal Bhawan in Assam's Tinsukia district on Wednesday, dedicating the modern facility to the state's people.
The state-of-the-art building, boasting amenities on par with a three-star property, symbolizes the longstanding bond between Arunachal and Assam, Khandu stated during the ceremony.
Located in Bordoloi Nagar near Tinsukia Civil Hospital on land provided by the Assam government, the bhawan was completed in a record two years, Khandu noted, praising PWD (Eastern Zone) and the construction team for their work.
Khandu highlighted the facility's dual purpose to serve eastern Arunachal's people and Tinsukia district's administration for official and cultural events. Additionally, he mentioned similar projects completed in cities like Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Guwahati, and Bodh Gaya.
Discussing future projects, Khandu revealed plans for a new Arunachal Bhawan in Dwarka, New Delhi, and replacing the existing one in Delhi.
Khandu also acknowledged local Assam legislator Bolin Chetia and emphasized the combined progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership while praising Assam's role in regional development.
