Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar announced on Wednesday that he is currently in Ladakh for the production of a 'special film.'

Akhtar, who previously filmed 'Lakshya' (2004) and 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' (2013) in the region, made the revelation via an Instagram post. 'Back in Ladakh after Lakshya and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag to shoot for a very special film,' he wrote alongside a photo of the picturesque locale.

'Lakshya,' centered around the 1999 Kargil War, marked his second directorial venture, while in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' he portrayed the iconic sprinter Milkha Singh. 'Details to be revealed soon. Watch this space,' Akhtar added.
His latest appearance was in the sports drama 'Toofaan' (2021), and as a director, in 2011's 'Don 2 – The King Is Back.' Recently, he worked as an executive producer with his sister Zoya Akhtar on the Prime Video documentary 'Angry Young Men,' which explores the impact of the renowned writing duo Salim-Javed.
