Himachal Pradesh minister Vikramaditya Singh and his mother, Pratibha Singh, the state Congress president, have condemned BJP MP Kangana Ranaut's recent comments on the farmers' protest, calling them 'reckless and misinformed.'
In separate statements, the Congress leaders criticized Ranaut for suggesting that the farmers' protests could have led to a situation similar to Bangladesh's if the leadership were not strong. Ranaut made these claims during an interview, which she reposted on social media.
The BJP has distanced itself from Ranaut's comments, stating she is not authorized to speak on party policies. Despite this, the Congress is demanding an apology from Ranaut and has accused the BJP of double standards for not issuing an apology to the farmers.
