Bijili Ramesh, a well-known Tamil actor, passed away in Chennai at the age of 46 due to a prolonged illness, his family confirmed on Tuesday. He had been undergoing treatment for liver-related problems.
According to his family, Ramesh died in his sleep two days after being discharged from the hospital to celebrate his wedding anniversary. 'He suddenly passed away while sleeping,' the family said.
The actor is survived by his wife and son, with the final rites scheduled to be held today near MGR Nagar in Chennai.
Ramesh initially gained fame through his YouTube prank videos, which later opened doors for him in the film industry. He appeared in notable films like 'Sivappu Manjal Pachai' (2019), 'Aadai' (2019), and 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal' (2022), along with several television shows.
A self-proclaimed fan of megastar Rajinikanth, Ramesh's family recently sought financial assistance from the film fraternity for his medical treatment. (ANI)
