From Ringside to Politics: Boxing Coach Rajound Eyes Haryana Assembly Seat
Rajesh Kumar Rajound, a renowned boxing coach and the elder brother of celebrated boxer Manoj Kumar, is venturing into politics. He has applied for a Congress ticket to contest the upcoming Haryana assembly elections from Kalayat constituency. Rajound hopes to leverage his political aspirations to empower society.

Renowned boxing coach Rajesh Kumar Rajound, who is the elder brother of Commonwealth Games gold-winning boxer Manoj Kumar, is gearing up for a political debut. The 41-year-old has filed for a Congress ticket to contest the approaching Haryana assembly elections.
Hailing from Rajond village in Kaithal district, Rajound is vying for a seat in Kalayat constituency. He recently met senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to discuss his candidacy. Haryana's elections for 90 assembly constituencies will take place on October 1, with results announced on October 4.
Rajound, who has been instrumental in training his brother Manoj Kumar during his Olympic journey, believes mainstream politics can help him effectively contribute to society. In addition to his coaching career, Rajound runs a boxing academy and is employed at Kurukshetra University. He has secured a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the university to participate in the elections.
