India-Singapore High-Level Discussions Set Stage for PM Modi's Visit

Senior ministers from India and Singapore held a high-level dialogue at the second India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable, setting the stage for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's imminent visit to the city-state, announced Singapore's Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan.
The ministers explored ways to boost bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors including digital innovation, skill development, sustainability, healthcare, connectivity, and advanced manufacturing. This was the second ministerial meeting since the inaugural roundtable in September 2022, launched by then Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during his visit to India.
New focuses on advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, aviation, and maritime connectivity were added to the agenda. These areas present significant opportunities, according to Balakrishnan. Officials from both nations reaffirmed their strong ties and discussed further initiatives like digital payment linkages and cyber security measures, aiming to enhance strategic cooperation.
