Jharkhand Celebrates Janmashtami with Traditional Fervour
Janmashtami was celebrated across Jharkhand with traditional fervour. Devotees flocked to temples, participated in Dahi Handi competitions, and engaged in meditation and bhajan singing at the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India Ashram. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren extended their greetings and emphasized the teachings of Lord Krishna.

Janmashtami was celebrated with traditional fervour across Jharkhand on Monday, as devotees made beelines to temples of Lord Krishna.
Several programmes, such as Dahi Handi competitions, were organized in different areas of Ranchi as part of the celebrations marking the birth of Lord Krishna.
Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren extended greetings on the occasion, with Gangwar posting on X: ''May your life be filled with happiness, prosperity, and peace with the blessings of Lord Krishna. The teachings of the Gita, given by Lord Krishna, offer a message of following the path of truth, religion, and karma.''
The chief minister also participated in a Krishna Mahotsav at Ranchi's Morabadi Ground on Sunday night, stating, ''programmes like these strengthen our ancient tradition and culture.''
Meanwhile, Janmashtami was also celebrated at the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India Ashram with activities such as meditation and bhajan singing, led by Swami Vasudevananda Giri, Swami Amarananda Giri, and Brahmachari Shambhavananda. Prasad was later distributed among the devotees and sanyasis.
