A man from Rajasthan was tragically discovered dead in his rented residence in Odisha's Kendrapara town on Saturday, according to local police.

The deceased, identified as 32-year-old Kurbani Mansuri from Mukam village in Rajasthan's Bikaner district, had been working as an ice cream vendor in Kendrapara for four years. He lived with another ice cream vendor, Pradeep Kumar Baishnab, 35, also from Rajasthan. Both shared a rented house in Khadianga.

Police discovered Mansuri's body, marred with injury marks, following a complaint from the house owner. The body has been sent for a post-mortem. Initial investigations indicate Baishnab attacked Mansuri with a wooden plank, leading to severe head injuries. Inspector Dilip Sahoo of Kendrapara town police station confirmed Baishnab's detention and ongoing interrogation to uncover the attack's motive.
