Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met with the President of the Kabaddi Federation of Poland, Michal Spiczko, in Warsaw. Spiczko, who spent two years with Pro Kabaddi League side Bengaluru Bulls in 2015 and 2016, discussed ways to further popularize the sport in Poland.

During the visit, Modi also met Anna Kalbarczyk, a Board Member of the Kabaddi Federation of Poland. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of fostering bilateral relations through sports and cultural exchanges between India and Poland.

Modi praised Spiczko and Kalbarczyk for their dedication to advancing kabaddi in Poland and emphasized the potential for more tournaments between Indian and Polish players. Spiczko, now 37, made history as the first European to appear in the PKL and took part in the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup in Ahmedabad.
