The body of trainee pilot Subhrodeep Dutta, missing since Tuesday after taking off from Jharkhand's Jamshedpur, was discovered in the Chandil dam on Thursday, officials reported.
The Cessna 152 aircraft owned by a private flying school vanished shortly after departing from the Sonari aerodrome. A massive search effort ensued, encompassing nearby areas and the dam's reservoir.
This morning, search teams found a floating body later identified as Dutta, a resident of Adityapur in Seraikela-Kharsawan district. The Indian Navy and NDRF continue to search for Captain Jeet Satru, 35, whose last known location was near Nimdih in the Chandil sub-division.
