The All-India Tulu Federation will host one of the largest events devoted to Tuluva culture in Mangaluru on August 24, promising a vibrant showcase of the region's traditions.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, organising committee president A C Bhandary announced that the event, named Tulunad Folk Uchcha, will feature nearly 46 Tulu service organisations as delegates and performers from across India and abroad.

The festivities will kick off with the Tuluvera Dibbana procession at 8:30 am from Mangalore University to Town Hall, with eight folk art ensembles participating. Mangaluru South MLA D Veda Vyasa Kamat will inaugurate the event, which will also honor notable Tulu personalities such as Divakara Shetty Sangli, Nagriguthu Rohit Shetty, Karnoor Mohan Rai, and Ashok Pakkala.
