Taylor Swift shared her profound fear and guilt after authorities thwarted a plot to attack her Vienna concert. The pop star expressed gratitude towards the authorities and revealed her protective stance towards her fans. The incident led to the cancellation of three Vienna shows but did not affect her London performances.
LOS ANGELES, Aug 21 (Reuters) - Taylor Swift, the U.S. pop megastar, on Wednesday disclosed a 'new sense of fear' after a plot to attack her Vienna concert venue was uncovered. She expressed guilt for canceling three shows in the city but praised authorities for their swift action.
Commenting on Instagram, Swift stated, 'Thanks to them, we were grieving concerts and not lives.' Austrian police arrested a 19-year-old man who admitted to planning a 'bloodbath' at her Eras Tour.
'Having our Vienna shows canceled was devastating,' Swift remarked. 'The cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear and guilt because so many had planned on attending.' She redirected her focus to safeguarding nearly half a million fans in London. Her London shows concluded successfully, marking the end of the European leg of her tour. The Eras Tour, now on a break, will resume in October in North America.
