Accompanied by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and other party leaders, Gandhi departed from Hotel Lalit, situated in the city's Gupkar area, to dine at Hotel Ahdoos. Known for its Kashmiri 'Wazwan,' the eatery is one of Srinagar's finest culinary spots.

The unexpected high-profile visit to the bustling Residency Road area, the commercial heart of Jammu and Kashmir's summer capital, was met with significant interest. A robust security ring encircled the hotel, which boasts a view of the Jhelum river. Post-dinner, Gandhi and his entourage enjoyed ice cream at a nearby popular parlour, just a short walk from the city's iconic Clock Tower.
