Four individuals have been taken into custody and formally charged following the death of actor Johnny Wactor, widely recognized for his portrayal of Brando Corbin on 'General Hospital'. The announcement was made by Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon on Monday, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Wactor, aged 37, was fatally shot on May 25 while walking to his vehicle after completing his shift as a bartender in downtown Los Angeles. Reports obtained by The Hollywood Reporter suggest that the suspects confronted Wactor during an alleged attempt to steal the catalytic converter from a car.

The suspects, now identified as 18-year-old Robert Barceleau, Leonel Gutierrez, Sergio Estrada, and 22-year-old Frank Olano, were arrested on Thursday. Official charges have since been announced.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Barceleau faces charges including murder with a special circumstance allegation for committing the act during a robbery, alongside attempted robbery and grand theft. If found guilty, he may face a life sentence and is currently held without bail.

Estrada has been charged with murder absent the special circumstance, as well as attempted robbery and grand theft. Gutierrez is accused of attempted robbery and grand theft by embezzlement, while Olano faces charges of accessory after the fact and receiving stolen property.

All suspects also face allegations of being armed with a firearm during the incident, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
