RSS leader Ram Madhav voiced serious concerns regarding the treatment of Hindus in Bangladesh during a lecture on India's neighboring countries. He asserted that Hindus in Bangladesh are deeply committed to the country's identity and culture, comparable to Bangladeshi Muslims.

Madhav highlighted reports of temple destructions and persecution of Hindus, stressing the alarming nature of these incidents. He detailed the historical context, noting the harsh conditions faced by East Bengalis since Pakistan's creation in 1947 and emphasizing Bangladesh's unique identity as a nation founded on linguistic identity.

He mentioned the imprisonment of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the leader of the resistance movement in East Bengal, and the subsequent lack of global support for Bengal's rights. Madhav credited India for standing by East Bengal during its struggle. Recent communications between Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were also discussed, with Yunus assuring protection for Hindu minorities in Bangladesh.
