Arijit Singh has clinched the Best Male Playback Singer award at the 70th National Film Awards for his soulful rendition of 'Kesariya' from the film 'Brahmastra.' The romantic track swiftly became a fan favorite, lauded for its poignant lyrics and Singh's emotive voice.

Pritam also secured a National Award for Best Music Direction for his work on 'Brahmastra,' solidifying the film's musical acclaim. The winners were officially revealed on Friday in the national capital. The jury, led by Rahul Rawail for Feature Films, Nila Madhab Panda for Non-Feature Films, and Gangadhar Mudalair for Best Writing on Cinema, made the announcements.

'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' marks the inaugural segment of Ayan Mukerji's anticipated trilogy within the Astraverse. Featuring a star-studded lineup including Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni, the film narrates the story of Shiva, a DJ discovering his mystical connection to fire and his ability to awaken the Brahmastra, a powerful artifact capable of annihilating the universe.

The movie showcases Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna in key roles, highlighting their formidable performances. (ANI)
