Tragic Roof Collapse Claims Elderly Woman's Life Amid Intermittent Rain
A 72-year-old woman, Sharda Devi, perished when the roof of her house in Karanpura ward collapsed amid intermittent rain. Authorities and neighbors discovered the incident the next morning. Despite immediate rescue efforts by police, she had already succumbed to her injuries. Senior officials are investigating the tragedy.

A 72-year-old woman tragically lost her life when the roof of her house collapsed due to ongoing intermittent rain, local police reported on Saturday.
The incident occurred on Friday night in the Kotwali Sadar area of Karanpura ward, leaving the neighborhood in shock.
According to Station House Officer Vikram Singh Chauhan, the victim, Sharda Devi, was sleeping when the collapse happened. Neighbors discovered the tragedy the following morning and alerted the authorities and her relatives.
Police arrived promptly at the scene and managed to retrieve Devi from the debris, but she had already succumbed to her injuries, Chauhan confirmed.
Senior officials have also visited the site, and a postmortem has been conducted to ascertain the cause of death, Chauhan added.
