The tournament will adhere to the Ranji Trophy's four-day format and will feature 10 state-based teams, including defending champion Madhya Pradesh, and two local teams, TNCA President's XI and TNCA XI.
The competition, once a season opener attracting India's best cricketing talent, has lost prominence in recent years. However, India T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav will participate this year for Mumbai.
