Panun Kashmir, a prominent group advocating for displaced Kashmiri Pandits, has called on the Indian government to take immediate action to evacuate Hindus from Bangladesh and Pakistan, granting them Indian citizenship.
The organization underscored the escalating violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, which has sparked significant outrage within India's majority community. They emphasized that India must assertively commit to safeguarding Hindus in Bangladesh and prioritize this concern in its relations with Bangladesh.
Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, Chairman of Panun Kashmir, stressed that India cannot merely observe atrocities against Hindus from afar and reiterated the organization's call for the evacuation and citizenship of Hindus from both Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Furthermore, he expressed solidarity with Bangladeshi Hindus, noting that the Hindus of Kashmir deeply resonate with their plight, having faced genocide themselves. Chrungoo highlighted the prolonged suffering and remarkable perseverance of Hindu communities in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
