The 'Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition,' held from August 1 to August 3, 2024, witnessed an astounding turnout of nearly 10,000 students from over 70 schools, setting new records for student engagement.
The event celebrated the milestone of Chandrayaan-3's landing on the Moon's South Pole, featuring captivating displays such as water rocket experiments and interactive models. Students attended immersive sessions on ISRO's history and latest projects, leaving them filled with inspiration and aspiration for careers in space science.
Distinguished Scientist and Director of SAC ISRO, Shri Nilesh M. Desai, graced the event as Chief Guest, elucidating Satellite Communication (SatCom) and planetary exploration. Desai shared his vast expertise in designing ISRO's advanced microwave remote sensing payloads and discussed pivotal programs like RISAT-1 and Chandrayaan-2. His address offered valuable insights into India's pioneering space technology and exploration.
