Fans attending Taylor Swift's concert in Warsaw are advised not to panic when they hear alarm sirens on Thursday, as the capital will honor a pivotal World War II anniversary.

The Polish capital will mark the 80th anniversary of the start of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising against Nazi occupation. Alarm sirens will echo across the city on August 1 at the exact time the uprising began.

"To those attending the concert on August 1st, please don't panic if you hear alarms around 5 pm. It's the 80th anniversary," stated an official post from Swift's "The Eras Tour" on social media. Thousands of ticket-holders are expected to be near the stadium by that time for the evening performance.

Polish news outlet Onet emphasized the day's significance, urging fans to remain calm. They will pay respects to the heroes of 1944, with residents expected to stand quietly and observe the moment.

The Warsaw Uprising, marked by profound bravery and sacrifice, saw approximately 2,00,000 Poles killed by German forces. Despite past reconciliatory gestures from Germany, Poles continue to harbor resentment towards the Soviets for not intervening during the conflict.

Today, the uprising remains a poignant symbol of Poland's enduring fight for independence.
