In a move sure to thrill fans, the creators of 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' have introduced a slew of new characters set to join the highly anticipated Season 2. This announcement comes just in time for this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Among the new additions are Narvi, portrayed by Kevin Eldon, an elven map-maker from Eriador named Camnir, played by Calam Lynch, an elven archer from Lindon named Rian, portrayed by Selina Lo, and Mirdania, played by Amelia Kenworthy, who is a protégé of master craftsman Celebrimbor.

Narvi, described as a master craftsman and a close confidant of Celebrimbor, is played by Kevin Eldon. Owain Arthur, reprising his role as Prince Durin IV, described Narvi's role in the new season saying, 'He's weaving in and out of the action throughout the season.' Narvi faces internal conflict as his loyalty is tested when the king begins to succumb to the powers of the rings.

Camnir, depicted by Calam Lynch, is an expert in navigating Eriador's treacherous woods. His bravery will be crucial when Elrond's warriors face an attack by Barrow-wights. Rian, played by Selina Lo, is a formidable archer whose skills will be pivotal in the defense of Eregion. Meanwhile, Mirdania, a character portrayed by Amelia Kenworthy, will face her own trials when an unexpected visitor arrives in Eregion.

Scheduled for an August 29 premiere on Prime Video, the preview showcases the ominous presence of Sauron. The recently unveiled trailer is filled with dark imagery and returning characters like Galadriel and Elrond, hinting at the epic battles to come. The enigmatic Stranger, wielding a wooden staff, also raises questions about the deeper lore of Middle-earth's wizards. Iconic locations like Mount Doom and Barad-dur add to the grand spectacle that fans are eagerly awaiting.
