Commencement of Amarnath Yatra: Rituals and Reverence

The Chhari Mubarak of the Amarnath Yatra was taken to Pahalgam on Sunday, marking the start of the pilgrimage with various rituals at Dashnami Akhara building.
Led by Mahant Deependra Giri, the Bhoomi-Pujan, Navgrah-Pujan, Chhari-Pujan, and Dhawajarohan ceremonies took place on the auspicious occasion of Ashadh Purnima, heralding the annual pilgrimage.
A sizeable number of sadhus, pilgrims, and Kashmiri Pandit families participated in the rituals, and a 'hawan' was conducted followed by a 'langar'. Giri appreciated the local population and the administration for their support and arrangements.
