India Hosts 46th World Heritage Committee Session

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee in New Delhi on Sunday. This is the first time India is hosting this key event organized by UNESCO, running from July 21-31.

UNESCO's Director General Audrey Azoulay is also set to attend the inauguration at Bharat Mandapam. With over 2,000 delegates from more than 150 countries attending, Modi will deliver an opening address.

The session will consider 27 nominations for World Heritage status and review conservation reports of existing heritage sites. In addition to the main session, India is also hosting side events and exhibitions showcasing its cultural and technological advancements.
