India Prepares for Landmark 46th World Heritage Committee Session in Delhi

Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced the upcoming 46th session of the World Heritage Committee in Delhi. The event, running from July 21-31, will showcase India's cultural heritage and management of its UNESCO sites. Prime Minister Narendra Modi may attend the inauguration.

Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced on Friday that Delhi will host the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee from July 21-31, marking another milestone following India's G20 hosting.

At a curtain-raiser press conference, Shekhawat confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received 'in-principle approval' to attend the event's inauguration.

The session will highlight India's rich cultural heritage, the careful management of its sites, and the priority given to preserving its heritage, Shekhawat added.
