Actor Johnny Depp has drawn inspiration from tarot iconography for his latest art collection, which features a tribute to his former partner, French actor and singer Vanessa Paradis. The collection, named 'Tarot,' includes four pieces: 'The Lovers,' 'The Empress,' 'The Emperor,' and 'Strength.'

'I've always been tremendously curious about the tarot,' Depp stated in a video. He emphasized the historical and artistic significance of the tarot cards, calling it 'a great art' dating back centuries.

'The Lovers' portrays a well-dressed couple and features a male figure holding a red rose. 'The Empress,' inspired by Paradis, shows a female figure with a weathered crown. 'Strength' depicts a gazing elephant and features the inscription: 'Why do you want to fight with something that doesn't want to fight with you?'. 'The Emperor,' recalling a 17th-century French monarch, was inspired by Depp's work on the film 'Jeanne du Barry.'

This limited edition series, priced at $4,500 per framed piece, will be sold by British art retailer Castle Fine Art starting Thursday. The release follows Depp's previous art collections and marks his return to the spotlight after his 2022 defamation trial.
