Sringeri Math Issues Caution As River Tunga Overflows

The Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham, widely recognized as Sringeri Math, has issued a cautionary alert to devotees due to the River Tunga overflowing its banks.
Situated in Karnataka's Chikmagalur district, the Sri Sharada Peetham's official 'X' handle advised devotees to remain cautious and avoid the riverbanks as Sringeri recorded 190 mm of rainfall on July 15.
Weather enthusiasts and 'X' users shared videos highlighting the extent of flooding, with significant areas, including the temple's parking space, being inundated. Despite the challenging weather, a large influx of devotees is anticipated for the auspicious Chaturmasya period.
