Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to lead the International Day of Yoga celebrations in Ahmedabad on June 21, a state minister announced Thursday.

The event will take place at a public garden on Sindhu Bhavan Road, where Shah will perform yoga alongside other participants. Gujarat's sports, youth, and cultural activities minister, Harsh Sanghavi, highlighted that a major event will occur at Nadabet near the India-Pakistan border in Banaskantha district. This gathering, aimed to mark the 10th International Day of Yoga, will feature the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

The inaugural Yoga Day celebration at Nadabet will also enjoy the attendance of various state ministers, including Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary. The event, organized by the state Yoga Board and the Border Security Force (BSF), will see widespread participation from ministers, MLAs, MPs, and BJP office-bearers across Gujarat. In total, Yoga Day activities will span 312 locations in major cities and towns throughout the state, Sanghavi added.
