Earlier we had seen the discovery of a lead medieval cross by Rick and Marty Lagina and their team. Currently, they are passionately waiting for the results of testing on that cross. There are several theories (already revealed in the series ‘The Curse of Oak Island’) that the hidden centuries-old treasures are the riches of Captain Kidd during 1700s. The first of these stories by early settlers involve a dying sailor from the crew of Kidd, in which he states that treasure worth £2 million had been buried on the island. The historians have a firm believe that Kidd hid the treasure East of Boston on a small island.
Earlier, lots of people have given their efforts in finding the treasure. United States’ 32nd President, Franklin Delano Roosevelt continued to follow the mystery in 1909-1910 until his demise in 1945. An Australian-born American actor, Errol Flynn invested in the treasure dig. Even actor John Wayne also pumped out several funds in drilling equipment utilized on the island. Till today, the mystery is fully unsolved.
