Panchayat, a gem in the realm of Indian web series by TVF, was set to returns with its Season 3 on Amazon Prime Video on January 15, 2024. Unfortunately the OTT release delayed and postponed to February. Since its debut in 2020, the series has been lauded for its heartfelt depiction of rural India, seen through the eyes of an urban outsider. As Season 3 unfolds, viewers are invited back to the charming yet complex world of Phulera, a village that symbolizes the essence of rural life in Uttar Pradesh.

'Panchayat' weaves a narrative around Abhishek Tripathi, portrayed brilliantly by Jitendra Kumar. An engineering graduate from a city, Abhishek's aspirations and urban upbringing clash with the realities of his job as the secretary of a Gram panchayat in Phulera. The series captures his journey of adaptation, learning, and unexpected discoveries in a rural setting.

In Panchayat Season 3, Abhishek’s journey takes a more profound turn. Having somewhat acclimatized to village life, he now faces new challenges and opportunities that test his skills and patience. The season explores deeper themes of rural politics, social dynamics, and personal growth. Viewers can expect a richer exploration of the characters' lives and the complexities of village governance.

  • Neena Gupta as Manju Devi Dubey: Playing the role of Pradhan (village head), she is Rinky's mother and Brij’s wife. Her character adds a layer of complexity and strength to the village's leadership.
  • Raghubir Yadav as Brij Bhushan Dubey: Portraying Manju Devi's husband and the Pradhan-Pati (husband of the village head), he is also Rinky’s father. His character brings a mix of traditional wisdom and a unique perspective on village politics.
  • Faisal Malik as Prahladchand "Prahlad" Pandey: As the Upa-Pradhan (Deputy Head), his role is pivotal in assisting with the village's administrative duties.
  • Chandan Roy as Vikas: The office assistant, Vikas, provides comic relief and is a crucial support to Abhishek in the panchayat office.

These characters, with their distinct personalities and backgrounds, create a vibrant tapestry that reflects the diversity and richness of rural life. Their interactions and relationships with Abhishek form the crux of the narrative, offering a mix of humor, drama, and poignant moments.
