In the latest installment of JTBC's "Welcome to Samdalri," Episode 12 unfolded with high drama and heartbreak, captivating audiences nationwide. Set against the scenic backdrop of Jeju Island, the series follows the lives of two childhood friends, Jo Yong-pil (Ji Chang-wook) and Jo Sam-dal (Shin Hye-sun). Yong-pil, driven by the tragic loss of his mother due to a mistaken weather report, becomes a devoted weather forecaster with a mission to protect his hometown's elders. Despite earning a reputation as a stubborn troublemaker due to his unwavering dedication, Yong-pil continues his pursuit. On the other hand, Sam-dal, now going by the name Jo Eun-hye, returns to her hometown after facing adversity in Seoul, rekindling her connection with Yong-pil. Despite past conflicts, their bond remains unbroken.

In the previous episode on December 6th, viewers witnessed a poignant moment as Yong Pil and Sam Dal confirmed their feelings through a heartfelt kiss. However, the narrative took a dramatic turn when a shocking video depicting Sam Dal being assaulted by Eun Ju's mother surfaced, sparking fury among the villagers.

Tensions heightened with the arrival of Eun Ju and Chung Gi in the village. News spread rapidly, leading a group of villagers to seek justice for the assault, creating a volatile situation. The couple narrowly escaped the enraged crowd, stumbling upon Mi Ja's tangerine field. Mi Ja, expressing her anger over the harm caused to her daughter, confronted the duo and poured vinegar on them.

As the episode reached its climax, Sang Tae, a pivotal character, interrupted a long-awaited sweet moment between Yong Pil and Sam Dal. Tearfully, he pleaded with Sam Dal not to have returned eight years ago, unveiling the heartbreaking reason behind their past breakup. Tears streamed down Sam Dal's face, leaving viewers in suspense about the future of their relationship.

Welcome to Samdalri" continues to captivate audiences, airing every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 PM on JTBC. The highly anticipated Episode 13 is scheduled to air on January 13, 2024, promising more twists and turns in this gripping tale of love and resilience.
