Rick and Morty Season 7 is almost here, and there's a lot to talk about! This show, loved by many, is getting ready for its next adventure with Rick and Morty.
But there's a twist. Before we could enjoy this new season, there was some drama behind the scenes. Justin Roiland, who created the show and voiced some of the characters, like Rick and Morty, left the team. This happened in 2023 after some really serious accusations of bad behavior at home. Although later, they said those accusations weren't true, the drama caused more problems for Roiland and the show.
So, even though there's been some trouble, we're still excited about Season 7.
What to Expect in Rick and Morty Season 7
Rick and Morty Season 7 is right around the corner, and while much of it remains a mystery, the finale of Season 6 gave fans a sneak peek into what's coming. It's a storyline that has been in the making for quite some time.
In Season 3, Rick took an intergalactic government agent on a wild journey through his memories, all for a taste of the famous Szechuan Sauce. During this trip, Rick revealed that in his universe, his wife and daughter were killed by another Rick known as Rick Prime. But as it turned out, this was just a made-up story to buy time.
However, the Season 6 finale suggested that there might be some truth to this tale. Rick showed Morty a "crybaby backstory" where Rick Prime was indeed a real Rick who had killed Rick's family. Since then, Rick has been obsessed with finding Rick Prime and getting his revenge. Even though he found a new family in Morty and the Smiths, his desire to find Rick Prime remains unshaken, and he's declared that Season 7 will be all about hunting him down.
Season 6 also left fans with an intriguing moment between Morty and Rick, where they connected telepathically, hinting at potential mind-bending episodes in Season 7.
While it's tough to predict the exact direction of the show, Rick and Morty is known for its wild concepts and unexpected twists. Fans can expect the usual blend of crazy humor and deep character development as Season 7 builds on the events of the previous season.
In addition to the excitement around Season 7, there's also been drama behind the scenes. Justin Roiland, one of the co-creators of the show, faced legal troubles that led to his removal from the series. Although the case against him was ultimately dismissed, it had already affected his involvement in all creative projects.
Rick Prime seems to be a major plotline in Season 7, based on Season 6's conclusion and the trailer for the upcoming season. But there's much more to look forward to, with hints of Jerry's storyline, a possibly evil Summer, and the potential for more adventures outside of high school.
