Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 has taken the K-drama world by storm since its premiere on September 9, 2023, airing every Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 (KST). It's not just limited to traditional TV viewing; the series is also available for streaming on Netflix for the first season and on Disney+ for the second season in select regions. Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Episodes 7 and 8 are set to drop on Disney Plus on October 8, 2023.
But what makes this South Korean series, known for its gripping narrative and stellar cast, truly remarkable is the behind-the-scenes stories shared by the stars themselves. The ensemble cast of Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon, featuring Jang Dong Gun (Tagon), Lee Joon Gi (Eun Seom & Saya), Shin Se Kyung (Tanya), and Kim Ok Vin (Tae Alha), recently treated fans to an exclusive glimpse behind the curtain.
In a candid video, these talented actors spilled the beans on everything from juicy anecdotes to their personal acting insights. Lee Joon Gi, who brilliantly portrays the dual roles of Eun Seom and Saya, playfully remarked, "Everyone on set is in love with Saya. Out of 10 people, 9 look for Saya. They even tell me to hurry up and get into Saya’s makeup." He went on to reveal, "The way Tanya looks at Eun Seom and Saya is so different. That difference boosts my confidence as an actor."
The cast didn't hold back when discussing the show's iconic moments either. Lee Joon Ki, reflecting on a particularly emotional reunion scene with Tanya, confessed, "I cried so much that we had to shoot again. Just seeing Tanya made me tear up. The director and staff told me to keep my emotions in check because I was crying too hard."
Speaking of show-stopping moments, Jang Dong Gun, Lee Joon Gi, and Kim Ok Vin left viewers in awe with their breathtaking action sequences at the end of episode 4. Lee Joon Gi couldn't help but applaud Kim Ok Vin's stunt work, describing it as "something that only Kim Ok Vin can do." Kim Ok Vin herself humorously chimed in, saying, "When shooting the sequences, I really want to cut off my skirt."
Shin Se Kyung, who had to memorize particularly long lines for the same scene, added confidently, "I think I could still deliver those lines today." Jang Dong Gun shared his enthusiasm, saying, "When I read the script, I thought, ‘I absolutely have to do this scene.’ It resonated with me that much." Lee Joon Gi also weighed in, "It was a scene that all four of us had to emote in. There was a lot to think about how to do it without throwing off the balance."
Arthdal Chronicles weaves a captivating tale set in the mythical land of Arth during the Bronze Age. As viewers follow the inhabitants of the ancient city of Arthdal, they are drawn into a world of power struggles and love. Eun-seom, portrayed by Song Joong-ki, embarks on a challenging journey to resurrect his tribe and, in the process, uncovers his true origins.
Stay tuned for more revelations and drama as Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 continues to enthrall audiences worldwide. Don't miss out on the adventures of Eun Seom, Tagon, and the enigmatic Saya, as the story unfolds in this epic South Korean series.
