Invincible gained immense popularity after its 2021 release on Amazon Prime Video, earning a place alongside superhero giants like Marvel and DC. Created by renowned writer Robert Kirkman, known for "The Walking Dead," the show offers a fresh take on the superhero genre, comparable to the innovation seen in "The Boys." Amazon's decision to renew the series for a second and third season in April 2021 added to its success.

The first half of Invincible Season 2 is set to premiere on November 3, 2023, with the second half debuting in early 2024. Additionally, a prequel special titled "Invincible: Atom Eve" was released on July 21, 2023.

In the process of crafting Season 2, Robert Kirkman, the show's creator, shared an emotional experience during voice recording sessions. This sentiment was largely due to the involvement of Peter Cullen, famous for his voice work as Optimus Prime in both animated and live-action Transformers projects. In the upcoming season, Cullen lends his voice to Thaedus, a former Viltrumite who assembles the Coalition of Planets to challenge the Viltrumite Empire.

Kirkman disclosed that working with Cullen proved to be a test of his professionalism. He confessed that the presence of Cullen's iconic Optimus Prime voice stirred strong emotions within him, making him wary of discussing it during their interactions. The virtual nature of the recording sessions, conducted over Zoom, helped Kirkman manage his emotions. He expressed the profound impact Optimus Prime's voice had on him throughout his life, admitting that hearing Cullen speak the lines he had written was a surreal experience.

“Working with Peter Cullen was a huge test for my professionalism,” Kirkman told Polygon. “Just flat-out, every fiber of my being was screaming, ‘Don’t ask him about Optimus Prime. Don’t talk about Optimus Prime. What are you doing? Just be a professional, come on.’”

Invincible" narrates the life of Mark Grayson, a normal teenager with a twist – his father is the planet's most powerful superhero. As Mark reaches his seventeenth birthday, he discovers his own set of powers and begins his journey with guidance from his father.

in Invincible Season 2, viewers can expect a deeper dive into the Viltrumite Empire and an expansive universe filled with multiverse themes. New threats on Earth also await Mark Grayson in this anticipated sequel.

Fans of "Invincible" are undoubtedly in for a treat with season 2, with more action, twists, and engaging character development on the horizon.
