Park Seo Ham in talks for new period drama 'Takryu' after military service

Park Seo Ham, the star of 'Semantic Error,' is in talks to appear in a new period drama called 'Takryu' (literal title). This captivating series follows the incredible journey of a man who starts as a ruffian at Mapo Dock, the bustling center of logistics and economy in Joseon and becomes a legendary figure of the era. The drama is generating a lot of excitement because of the collaboration between director Choo Chang Min (known for Masquerade) and writer Cheon Sung Il (known for his work on various shows, including 'The Slave Hunters,' 'The Fugitive: Plan B,' 'L.U.CA.: The Beginning,' 'Your Honor,' and 'All of Us Are Dead' on Netflix).

Park Seo Ham enlisted in the military on March 10 last year and served as a social service worker after completing basic training. He still has five months left before his discharge on December 9th, but his fans are already eagerly looking forward to his upcoming drama.

The actor gained global popularity with the release of Watcha's BL drama 'Semantic Error' in February of last year, just before his enlistment. He further solidified his career by signing an exclusive contract with Npio Entertainment on March 7th. In the past, he trained under Big Hit Entertainment (now known as Big Hit Music) alongside Inseong and the members of BTS. Later, he moved to JYP Entertainment and became an actor trainee after winning second place at the company's 10th Open Audition on February 19, 2013. Before debuting with KNK, he was a backup dancer for live performances of BESTie's 'Zzang Christmas' and 'I Need You.'

Regarding his new project after the military discharge, Park Seo Ham's agency clarified that no schedule has been confirmed yet. Previously, it was announced that SF9's Rowoon is also a candidate for the lead role in the upcoming drama. Fans are undoubtedly excited to see what lies ahead for this talented actor and what he has in store for his next project.
