'My Dearest' teaser unfolds Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin's heartrending love story

A touching love story is about to unfold in the new drama series My Dearest, featuring Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin. The second teaser for the show was recently released by MBC, giving us a glimpse into the emotional rollercoaster awaiting viewers.

The teaser begins with Namkoong Min's character, Lee Jang Hyun, kneeling on a beach while Ahn Eun Jin's character, Yu Gil Chae, narrates, "Do you remember the day you first saw me?" We then see Namkoong Min closing his eyes, and the teaser takes us on a beautiful journey of the couple's shared memories.

But happiness proves to be short-lived as their love story gets entangled with the horrors of war. Namkoong Min urgently advises, "If smoke starts rising over that mountain, you must immediately seek refuge."

Ahn Eun Jin's character races along a mountain path, tears in her eyes, and resolves, "Nothing will happen to us today." Meanwhile, Namkoong Min's character finds himself in the heart of the war, fighting relentlessly and covered in blood. A caption appears, signaling that their love will deepen amidst the escalating danger.

 As the scene unfolds, a poignant subtitle appears, saying, "The more dangerous the better, the deeper the love begins," intensifying the heartbreak of the love between these two individuals. Lee Jang-hyun and Yu Gil-chae find themselves reunited once more. Lee Jang-hyun's eyes are filled with sorrow as he gently caresses the face of Yu Gil-chae, who rushes to be by his side. Drawing closer, Lee Jang-hyun softly implores, "You must never forget this moment with me today."

In their next encounter, Namkoong Min gently touches Ahn Eun Jin's face longingly, urging her, "You must never forget the moments you spent with me today." The teaser ends with them getting closer, leaving the viewers eager for more.

My Dearest is a historical romance series set during the turbulent Imjin War. It revolves around the story of star-crossed lovers caught during the war and the unwavering will to survive among ordinary people. The show is set to premiere on August 4 at 9:50 PM KST.
