Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto confirms release and teases exciting storyline!

Recently, a global popularity poll called NARUTOP99 Worldwide Character Popularity Poll took place, and Minato Namikaze emerged as the winner. As a result, the creator of the series, Masashi Kishimoto, announced that a special one-shot manga featuring Minato will be published on July 18 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump issue 33.

The NARUTOP99 Worldwide Character Popularity Poll was a significant event for the Naruto franchise, where fans worldwide voted for their favorite characters. The winner of the poll was promised a one-shot manga dedicated to their character. Minato Namikaze's victory means that fans can look forward to a unique manga centered around the Fourth Hokage.

The manga will revolve around the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, with a focus on his younger years. While the specific details are still under wraps, the released illustration suggests that the story will delve into Minato's ninjutsu. It can be assumed that the manga will explore Minato's creation of the Rasengan, among other aspects of his abilities.

The official Naruto website has provided some details about Masashi Kishimoto's upcoming one-shot manga about Minato. The story, titled NARUTO Gaiden: Uzu no Naka no Tsumujikaze, will be published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 33 on July 18, 2023.

However, there seems to be some confusion about the release date. Although the announcement mentions July 18, which falls on a Tuesday, Weekly Shonen Jump typically releases its issues on Mondays internationally. This suggests that Issue 33 might be released on Monday, July 17, 2023.

Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 33 will be a special edition in honor of the magazine's 55th anniversary. To make the celebration even more special, Masashi Kishimoto's one-shot manga featuring Minato will be included, spanning 55 pages. Additionally, the Minato manga will have colorful centerfold pages.
