Black Mafia Family (BMF) is a crime drama series that premiered on Starz in September 2021. The show is based on the true story of the Flenory brothers, Demetrius "Meech" Flenory and Terry "Southwest T" Flenory, who rose from the streets of Detroit to become one of the most notorious crime syndicates in America. The first two seasons of BMF were highly successful, receiving positive reviews from both critics and audiences.

Starz's original programming president Kathryn Busby expressed her excitement about the show's continued success, saying, "Following such a strong debut with season two, we’re thrilled to continue to expand on the incredible story of the Flenory brothers as they change the game by writing their own rules." The statement reflects the show's ability to keep viewers on the edge of their seats, as they witness the rise of the titular criminal organization.

BMF Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the Flenory brothers' story. The upcoming third season will continue to explore the rise and fall of the BMF and delve deeper into the characters and their relationships. Fans can expect more twists and turns, as well as intense action and drama.

The show boasts a talented ensemble cast, with Demetrius Flenory Jr. playing the role of his father, Meech Flenory. Other cast members include Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Myles Truitt, Steve Harris, La La Anthony, Da'Vinchi, Kelly Hu, and more. In February 2023, 2 Chainz and Ne-Yo were added to the cast in recurring roles for the show's third season.

Black Mafia Family is produced by G-Unit Films and Television, the production company owned by Rapper and actor 50 Cent. The show is another successful addition to 50 Cent's filmography, following the popular crime drama Power. With 50 Cent's involvement in several other projects, it remains to be seen whether he will return as an executive producer for BMF Season 3.

While an official release date for BMF Season 3 has not yet been announced, based on the show's previous release schedule, new episodes will likely arrive in early to mid-2024. Until then, fans can catch up on the first two seasons of Black Mafia Family, which are available to stream on Starz. With its gripping storyline, talented cast, and attention to detail, BMF is a must-watch for fans of crime dramas and true crime stories.
