What to expect from Kung Fu Panda 4
Since the release of Kung Fu Panda in 2008, Po (voiced by Jack Black) has come a long way. In the second and third films, he developed his abilities as a teacher and a protector of the Valley of Peace. Meanwhile, the TV spinoffs focused on Po's adventures with the Furious Five, showcasing their world-building capabilities.
While the plotline for Kung Fu Panda 4 is yet to be revealed, it's rumored that Po will reunite with his biological father and family. Fans can also expect to see the return of the Furious Five, Master Shifu, and Po's father, Mr. Ping. The identity of the film's villain is unknown at this point, but whoever takes on the role has big shoes to fill.
The return of the original cast
Jack Black will return to voice Po, while Angelina Jolie, David Cross, Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, and Seth Rogen are expected to reprise their roles as the Furious Five. Dustin Hoffman will also return as Master Shifu, and James Hong is set to play Mr. Ping. Whether Fred Tatasciore or Bryan Cranston will voice Po's biological father, Li Shan remains to be seen.
Seth Rogen who played Mantis in the films, short films and the television special of Kung Fu Panda talked about his involvement in the upcoming Kung Fu Panda 4, recently Rogen stated that he is unsure and hasn't been approached yet, but he finds the role easy to play.
“I genuinely don’t know. I haven’t done it yet. Those are pretty low lifts for me. I think I did the third one without even knowing it,” said Seth Rogen.
