Fans of the Willow series on Disney+ were thrilled with the first season, and now they are eagerly waiting for news about season 2. Although Disney+ has not yet confirmed the fate of the show, the Willow creative team has expressed their enthusiasm to continue the story. In this article, we will discuss what we know so far about Willow Season 2.

The Willow creative team, including showrunner Jonathan Kasdan, has been vocal about their desire to continue the story of the six heroes who set off on a dangerous quest to save their world from the Gales. Kasdan told ComicbookMovie.com "I hope so. We're certainly working at it, and I'm begging Kathy [Kennedy] because working with these actors and this crew of filmmakers on this show has been the best experience."

Willow is based on and serves as a sequel to the 1988 film of the same name by George Lucas. The series stars Warwick Davis as Willow Ufgood, back to his character from the film. George Lucas collaborated with the series' creator Jonathan Kasdan about rebooting the film as a television series at Disney+. The show also features Ellie Bamber as Elora Danan, Ruby Cruz as Princess Kit Tanthalos, Erin Kellyman as Jade Claymore, Amar Chadha-Patel as Boorman, Dempsey Bryk as Prince Airk Tanthalos, and Joanne Whalley as Queen Sorsha.

In terms of the plot for Willow Season 2, we can expect to see the gang set off on another dangerous mission, possibly to save Graydon, who was revealed to be alive in the season 1 finale. Elora declared that the power of love was needed to free Airk from the Wyrm's clutches, and we can assume that the same power of love will be needed to save Graydon. However, it remains to be seen whether Elora and Airk will be a couple in Season 2 or whether Airk will continue to be not exactly relevant to the story.

Aside from the mission to save Graydon, the big through-line that connects the two seasons is likely about Kit's responsibility to protect Elora. Kit is a warrior princess who takes her duties very seriously, and we can expect to see her continue to protect Elora with everything she has.

We can also expect to see how Willow's desire for power continues without his staff, which he sacrificed for the good of his friends. It will be interesting to see how Willow adapts to not having his staff and whether he finds new ways to use magic to help his friends.

While Disney+ has not yet confirmed Willow Season 2, we have every reason to believe that the show will be greenlit. The creative team has expressed their enthusiasm to continue the story, and the season 1 finale left many loose ends that need to be tied up. Fans of the show can look forward to another thrilling adventure with Willow and his gang, as they embark on a new mission to save their world from the Gales.
