On March 26, 2023, the Emmy Award-winning family saga series on HBO, Succession, will be releasing its fourth season. Succession Season 4 will once again delve into the intriguing story of the powerful media conglomerate, Waystar RoyCo.

Succession chronicles the lives of media mogul Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his four offspring, Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Siobhan (Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin), and Connor (Alan Ruck), as they battle for control of the family business.

The recently unveiled teaser trailer for Succession Season 4, created by British showrunner Jesse Armstrong, hints at the continuation of the media-conglomerate owning Roy family's tumultuous power struggles. The trailer showcases the Roy siblings - including the failed presidential hopeful Connor (Alan Ruck), once-favored son Kendall (Jeremy Strong), immature Roman (Kieran Culkin), and manipulative Shiv (Sarah Snook) - grappling with the aftermath of their botched coup from the previous season's finale and their father's plan to sell the company to tech mogul Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård). You can view the trailer for Succession Season 4 below.

As per the official description from HBO, Succession Season 4, “The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgard) moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is complete. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.”

Succession Season 3 ends with a big cliffhanger showing the Roy brothers and Waystar Royco in a tricky situation. Kendall (Jeremy Strong) has already declared war against his father, and now it seems both Siobhan (played by Sarah Snook) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) will join him in the fight.

Kendall is saved from drowning in his pool. GoJo's market capitalization overtakes Waystar's; Logan and Roman go to meet Matsson, who proposes that GoJo acquire Waystar with him as CEO while Logan exits with a settlement. Roman is sent back to attend Caroline's wedding, where he and Shiv discover that Logan has decided to sell the company without their input, jeopardizing the children's chances of succession. They tell Kendall, who breaks down and tearfully admits his involvement in the waiter's death at Shiv's wedding, and is met with support from his siblings. The three recall a clause in Logan and Caroline's divorce settlement granting the children veto power over any change in company control and decide to face their father together. On the way, Shiv informs Tom, who cryptically offers Greg a chance at significant ascension within the company. Upon being confronted by his children, Logan informs them that he and Caroline have renegotiated their divorce agreement, effectively depriving the children of company control. Tom is revealed to have tipped off Logan about the children's revolt.

Almost all the cast are returning in Succession Season 4 including Brian, Strong, Culkin, Snook, Ruck, Matthew McFadyen, Nicholas Braun and J Smith-Cameron.

HBO also announced new additions to the season 4 cast: Annabeth Gish, Adam Godley, Eili Harboe and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson.

Succession Season 4 is set to premiere on March 26, on HBO to Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK. Season 1 and Season 2 are streaming on HBO.
