Outer Banks Season 3 promises intense action scenes! Cast shares physical preparation for show

Netflix is getting ready for the launch of the third season of Outer Banks, a show that revolves around action adventure and mystery for teens. The Pogues, who are the main characters, have spent the first two seasons on the run, and Outer Bank Season 3 promises to have even more intense action scenes.

 In an interview with ET, Chase Stokes, who plays John B and the other cast members talked about the physical challenge of the show's storyline. He explained that it requires the actors to be in great shape and bring intensity to every scene. "You've got have one of those faces when you run," Stokes said.

"It's really tense, like you're really going for something and breathing as hard as you possibly can."

The Outer Banks Season 3 cast undergoes a lot of cardio and strength training before shooting to prepare for the demanding scenes. The training pays off, as Madison Bailey, who plays Kiara, recalls a celebratory meal of lobster and steak. The cast members of the show must be physically fit to keep up with the action scenes. The cast even plays basketball together to stay in shape. Drew Starkley, who plays Rafe, one of the Pogues' enemies, says that off-camera, the cast holds each other accountable. Austin North, who plays Topper, added that the show's humid Charleston setting makes the action scenes even more challenging.

"We're in Charleston, it's very humid," he said. "The action stuff is on another level this year."

The Pogues lose the gold and escape to the Outer Banks, only to end up stranded on a seemingly perfect desert island, which they nickname "Poguelandia." They enjoy the island's laid-back lifestyle of swimming, fishing, and leisure, but their temporary bliss is short-lived. John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and Cleo get embroiled in another hunt for the treasure, which forces them to run for their lives. They are far from home, without money, and can't trust anyone. Meanwhile, Ward and Rafe are seeking revenge, and a merciless Caribbean Don is also after the treasure. Did the Pogues ever stand a chance of finding the treasure, or was it all a ploy to bring them down once and for all? Regardless, the Pogues are united in their fight against the world, and their only hope is to stick together.
